Well, my wife dragged me up this hill, and me saying: No, no!! It was a rutted farm road and my Merc 280SL did not like it. Pam said: “Sell it, buy a 4×4, look at this – it’s worth it”. I bought the 4×4. But now – our major road is paved, so Porsches and Jaguar drivers get here – if they drive
slowly.
We were the first residents on Wedderwill in 1996. We can’t imagine living anywhere else. I am passionate about our piece of Paradise on this earth – many people tell me it shows.
I enjoy the outdoors (being over 70). Running, mountain biking, sailing, swimming- most of all relaxing with a glass of wine – it can all be done right here on your doorstep.
When the crowds descend upon the Cape over December – we stay up here on the hill and enjoy our peace and tranquillity. I have sold most of the properties on Wedderwill. Homeowners call on me to give realistic valuations or discuss whether or not they should put their house on the market or not. I only sell Wedderwill properties.

My wife and I moved to Wedderwill 18 years ago, after seeing an advert in the Sunday Property Times for a house in The Glades.
We visited the Estate and Wolf showed us around, and we quite literally fell in love with the place. It was everything we were looking for: a place in the country not too far from Cape Town, beautiful mountain views and space for our horses.
Living here has been wonderful, and we really couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. There is peace and quiet, and an abundance of bird life, space to walk, cycle and ride horses, and a game park where we are free to wander and enjoy the animals.
The high-tech camera security system, with 24-hour guarding and access control, means that we feel safe, stress-free and enjoy life at Wedderwill. Highspeed internet allows us to work from home.

How to find us
Take the N2 direction Somerset West. After you have passed the Somerset Mall, you will pass Isuzu & Virgin Active on the right. A little further on the right you will pass a Suzuki Lexus and Toyota Dealerships. Take the N2 direction Somerset West. After you have passed the Somerset Mall, you will pass BMW & Virgin Active on the right. A little further on the right you will pass a Volvo, Lexus and Toyota Dealerships.
Continue further until you come to the 2nd traffic light with a BP Garage on your left. Turn left here into Reunion Drive. Generation Private School is on your right.
You will go around 2 circles, and come to a traffic light with a T junction – turn right. Checkers Vergelegen Plein shopping Centre is on your left. Follow the Old Sir Lowry’s Pass Road for 4.5km right into the village of Sir Lowrys Pass. Keep driving straight. In the heart of the village is the temporary Police Station on your right, then the Kingdom Builders Church Hall ahead – you will see the sign pointing to Wedderwill and Knorhoek.
This paved road has speed reducing bumps, after 1km you see Knorhoek gates – swing left before you get to the white gates. Over the river, look for the Wedderwill Entrance Gate.
The Security guard will phone me and ask for permission to allow you access.
Stay on the paved road, watch the speed reducing dips in the road. Drive right to the top of the hill, about 1.7km – beware of the Peacocks they have right of way.
Meet me at the T-junction at the top. There is so much to experience on Wedderwill.
